ABG Cuba
Cuba is a beautiful archipelago located in the Caribbean Sea. It opened the route from Europe to the Americas at the end of the fifteenth century, and since then, its geography, culture, and people have been woven together through a complex history.
In His infinite sovereignty, the Lord brought His Holy Gospel to Cuba for the first time during the 1880s. After the end of Spanish colonial rule in 1898, a large number of missionaries began arriving from the United States, establishing several of the evangelical denominations that are still present on the island today. Many of these missionaries were Cubans who had emigrated to the United States, been saved by the Lord through Jesus Christ, and then returned to their homeland to preach the Gospel.
For decades, the Cuban people have lived under very difficult material conditions, which have become even more severe over the past seven years. The church has not been spared: frequent power outages lasting more than 20 or even 30 hours, chronic shortages of food and medicine, an almost complete lack of fuel for cooking, public transportation, and other basic needs, and an undernourished population periodically affected by epidemics.
Yet, despite this deeply sorrowful situation, the Lord has displayed His glory by sustaining His people there and extending His mercy to those who do not know Him. It can be said with certainty that during these recent years of systemic and widespread crisis in Cuba, the Lord, through His church both in Cuba and around the world, has been the primary source of help for those in need.
Through its ministry on the island, Alborada, ABG has been an effective instrument in the hands of the Lord Jesus Christ, and for His glory, in carrying out this purpose. Alborada is a committed team of servants and ministry partners who walk alongside more than 285 pastors, missionaries, and other men and women who serve the Lord across 13 of Cuba’s 15 provinces. Alborada provides financial support to these pastors and servants, distributes food and medicine to families in need, and offers special care and support to children facing chronic illnesses.
In every province where Alborada is present, teams of pastors meet regularly to pray, study the Word, and faithfully steward the resources provided by ABG. Through this work, they reach the most vulnerable families with both spiritual and material support. The ministry also includes biblical training for leaders and the vision of establishing Christian training centers that will continue strengthening the Cuban church for generations to come.
Above all, Alborada is a bridge of faithfulness: supporting those who serve, feeding those who are hungry, providing medicine for those who are sick, and equipping those who will lead the church in Cuba in the generations to come. Based on estimates available so far in 2026, the Lord, through Alborada, is providing food for more than 3,200 families, of whom more than 1,100 also receive medicine.
Your support is essential. You can contribute to the work the Lord is carrying out through Alborada in Cuba through your prayers and financial support.
In addition to food and medicine, other resources have been sent or funded, including:
– Clothing and shoes.
– EcoFlow equipment, including energy solutions and solar generators.
– Solar-powered fans.
– Water filters.
– Refrigerators.
– Electric motors.
– Financial support for the reconstruction of church buildings.
Specifically, in the province of Pinar del Río, one of Alborada’s servants supports 30 children with highly complex chronic conditions, including:
– Cancer.
– Autism.
– Paraplegia and tetraplegia.
– Epidermolysis bullosa (“butterfly disease”).
– Severe intellectual disabilities and congenital malformations.
All glory be to our Lord Jesus Christ. His promise to His disciples also finds fulfillment in Cuba today:
“In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
